Well, you can use RT-FIFOs in RTLinux for this purpose. One message queue per fifo. Or you can multiplex different message types in a single fifo (you have to de-multiplex them on the reading end based on their message type). The fifos is the basic primitive you need for this. To do this, you may want to take a look at the examples that come with rtlinux. In particular I think the examples/frank directory contains a simple control application that uses rt-fifo's (see the rtf_*() series of functions). -Calin On Thu, 19 Sep 2002, sunitaraje wrote: > Hi, > > > I am looking for help on writing one application in kernel mode of rtlinux which will create message and put into message queue ...while other application in user mode of rtlinux collect the message and process it. My knowledge on message queue support in RTLINUX is very limited. I would like to know more details about it. Any sample program will be very much appreciated. > > > Thanks. > > > > Get Your Private, Free E-mail from Indiatimes at http://email.indiatimes.com > Buy Music, Video, CD-ROM, Audio-Books and Music Accessories from http://www.planetm.co.in > Change the way you talk.
