Hello, PLease be patient with my inexperience. I am wondering where I may be able to find some information about kcomedilib and its architecture in RT-Linux. I need to know how it exactly fits with comedi, comedilib, and RT-Linux...is the latency of these modules known? How long will the aqcuisition or command output take in a real time setting, and how is it guaranteed (I imagine it has a lot to do with how kcomedilib interacts with RT-Linux priority functions?). Do I just need to study comedilib and as long as kcomedilib is running in the kernel they will execute with real-time priority? Also, I have noticed the RTAI-based real-time example programs, are those compatible with RT-Linux? The header file rtai.h would need to be changed of course (to rtl.h and/or others??) and the rt_printl function (I think that was it) would need to be changed to rtl_printf, but is there anything else that would need to be changed? Any help is appreciated... Andy Campbell IMS-Mechatronics Laboratory University of California, Davis 530/752-8253 atcampbell_at_ucdadvis.edu
