Yes, you should run that as a for loop 5 times to setup the counters.

The counter won't reset to 0.  Instead, you'll have to take a counter
reading, wait a while, then take another, and subtract the two.  I don't
believe there is a way to reset the internal counters on that board; at
least not with comedi.
