Confirming comedi is working

Hi all

I am running a linux2.4.18 kernel patched with rtai-24.1.10 on a PIV
2.26ghz with asus p4s533 board.

I also have an NI6036E DAQ installed.

I've compiled and installed the cvs snapshot of comedi from five days
ago. The make install bailed while
trying to install some documentation, but it looks like the actual rtai
modules installed fine.

When I load rtai and modprobe ni_pcimio.o everything seems to load
without a problem.

In an effort to test the system I installed comedilib and did
./comedi_test, and that gives the following
E: comedi_open("/dev/comedi0"): No such device

I haven't done comedi_config as I am unsure what the appropriate
arguments might be, and I am assuming
that I need to get comedi_test to spit back some "Succesful" results.
Does any have any idea how I can get
from here to there?
