Re: Command_&_ciodas16/330_problem

Hi,

Thanks a lot Frank for leading directions. I do not know what has happened
(heard that before), but now I have come back to a previous configuration
that, now, works! The software settings are now 0x300,5,3. The hardware
settings are 0x300, compatibility mode (not enhanced), DMA level 3, 16
channels single-ended and 1 MHz crystal.

I ran the tut1, tut2 and cmd demos with success. The cmd-demo halts after
all samples have been printed to the screen (CTRL-C works fine). I connected
a battery, which showed 4.82 V on a multimeter. The result on channel 0 was
4.88 V for both tut2 and cmd (after converting the bits manually). Great!

I tried to run the mmap, poll and select demos. But, for them, I was not
succesful. For mmap, the comand_test fails, for the other two the tests run
through, but the
command_cmd returns "Resources temporarily unavailable". I guess some of the
cmd-options have to be changed, or? Do you know which options
that work with this board?

Now, it is time to test high-frequencies and multiple channels with respect
to DC-levels, frequency content and response amplitudes at selected
frequencies.

/Daniel

You said before you were using

    /usr/sbin/comedi_config /dev/comedi0 cio-das16/330 0x330,5,1

but according to the manual, the base address must be a multiple of 0x20
when
the enhanced mode switch is on. You might also try turning off the enhanced
mode switch, as the driver doesn't use any of the enhanced features.
