Naive question from H. Vidal, Jr. on 2003-01-21 (gmane.linux.comedi)

Naive question by someone that has not fully tested or investigated build
process, so please bear with me..

Does comedi required a customized kernel? That is, does it patch a kernel
that it then needs to run?

What is the general result of using Modified RedHat kernels or 2.96 gcc
compilers on comedi wrt does it compile, is it stable, etc?
