Re: NI-DAQ open Source drivers and VentureCom RTX

Keith,

I'm assuming that by "NI-DAQ open source drivers" you mean the Measurement
Hardware DDK. The National Instrument's MH DDK is fairly platform
independent. So you should be able to add the 2 functions to map the
board's registers into RTX addressable memory and run the examples as is.
I designed them to be as easy to port as possible.

I ported it to Linux user mode, PocketPC PDAs, and Windows. But other
people have used it under QNX, Mac OS X, and probably more that they
haven't told us about.

It's not a driver like NI-DAQ or Comedi, but it would be useful if you were
writing a driver... or adding a new board to an existing driver like
Comedi.

If you are curious, the MHDDK is on the NI website here:

Is anybody here using NI-DAQ open source drivers with VentureCom RTX
extensions. I know this is the Linux world, so don't flame me, but
corporately I'm stuck in the windows world. Any help or redirection to an
appropriate group would be helpful.

Thank You,
