Herman, I was just suggesting that clearly defined '1.0 goals' should be available somewhere, and bugzilla seemed like a good place. Bugzilla is appropriate for more than just bugs. The suggestion was really more aimed at Dave than a direct reply to you, sorry about that. > I'm not pretending at all that my suggestions are good. I'm not saying your suggestions are bad, I'm (in part) trying to explain why they are probably not going to be implemented in the immediate future. Comedi being in beta means the API is essentially frozen (with some exceptions, like extensions using INSN_CONFIG). So while I might agree with a suggestion like replacing chanspec integers with structs, I don't see it happening until after we reach 1.0 and are more free to play with new ideas for the API. So, I guess what I'm saying is I'm most interested in ideas (and work of course) that will get us to 1.0 as soon as possible. - -- Frank -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE+l0cp5vihyNWuA4URAn4nAKCcYlTDIMBzbgbcIxCcj9wKdjbCKwCeJFIM hwo/LhSjg0M8Ck93+QgWKrU= =TxrW -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
