Hi, all! I´m new to this list and also new to Comedi. What I´d very much like to do is run my DAQ board with RTLinux (so far run with Win 3.11). The DAQ board is fairly old and not included in Comedi. So I suppose that I will have to write my own RTLinux driver for it. It´s a IMTEC T-512 with 2 MB RAM and 12Bit A/D converter. I´d like to use it for continuos oscillation measurement. Now to my questions: 1) What is the best way to start writing one´s first ever RTLinux driver? And where should I start? 2) In what way can I use Comedilib for writing a DAQ driver? 3) Can I access the board via Comedi functions right now, although there´s no driver for it included in Comedi (I suppose not)? 4) I got some Win 3.11 .dll´s and Borland C Programms for the card. Are they of any use? Or ist it better to start from scratch? 5) What are the important things I must know from my card to be able to write an RTLinux driver? 6) Are there some guides on how to write a new DAQ board driver with Comedi? I know that those are very basic "newbie" questions, but I´m actually a newbie in driver writing :) So far, I´ve only written apllications and drivers where something I never had to worry about. I´m glad for all kinds of help and appreciate your help very much! Best regards, Mike
