Hi, Matteo Giani napsal(a): > I'm going to start developing a driver for the above mentioned board > (see $SUBJECT). The board offers 96 Digital I/O lines, grouped into 4 > 8255-compatible groups. The first thing that came to my mind was writing > the driver so as to use 4 8255 subdevices (using the code in 8255.c much > like is already done in ni_pcidio.c), which should work OK as far as DIO > is concerned. I wrote few weeks back driver for Advantech digital cards PCI173x/175x/ 176x for one man. I don't know if this driver works, but maybe can be good framework for improvements. Well I'll look for my driver and send it to David, I hope that it will still pass to CVS. :-) > What I was thinking about is: this board also supports interrupt > generation (on state change, rising/falling edge and even pattern > matching depending on the port number). What would be a clean way to > support all these features? You can too try contact direct Advantech. They have linux drivers for their cards based on comedi, but I don't know if they want to publish them. Their driver supports some from these functions. Majkl
