comedi callback called exactly once under RTAI

I am running the CVS comedi version under RTAI/LXRT and am trying to write 
asynchronous callbacks to get triggered after each scan.

The callback gets triggered exactly once, even though my comedi command should 
be repeatedly triggering the callback.  When I run my test program a second 
time, the callback is never triggered.  I need to unload and reload the card's 
driver module in order to get the card back to the state where it triggers 
exactly once again.

What am I doing wrong? I want the callback to be triggered continuously.
