I'm having an RTAI/comedi problem, and I thought I'd inquire here whether anyone had any insights. System: 2.4.20 clean kernel, rthal patched for RTAI 24.1.11. Running on an otherwise RedHat 9.0 installation. All compiles fine; RTAI tests work. kernel and rtai are compiled with gcc 3.2.x (I'm at the wrong computer now, but its not 2.95/6 for sure). Comedi is compiling ok, but 'make install' is choking at this point: /sbin/depmod -ae depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.20-rthal5/rtai/rtai_cpp.o depmod: _ZdlPv .... etc. There are more unresolved symbols, but my guess is that this one, which appears for all the modules Is there a path that is not being set or found that I am missing? I've tried moving the rt_compat.h up a directory level, and into another directory, and recompiling the whole thing (starting in rtai with a clean make, and then again with comedi) but to no avail. Is there something else I should do to the makefile? I know I'm not the only one seeing this as there is a similar unanswered post on the rtai group. --Paul -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Paul B.
