Hi Finally I've started to extend the supported features of comedi ni-pcidio driver's ni pci dio 32hs card, as we use it for data acquisition. The following features i've to add: strobed io -> switching beteween strobed and unstrobed. multible ports -> A B C D in both modes port grouping -> group 1 2 ... different handshaking. As all that is supported by the card i'll have to make this available via comedi insn and command interface. So for configuring i thought about using insn interface which brings me to my questions. For configuration i would need either need furhter symbols telling the driver which features to configure, or i would need a sturcture holding all the configuration settings. In the first case i'd like to know what to consider when adding new keys for configuration mode of insn interface. In the second case how to tell the driver size and type of structure holding extended configuration. Which of both aproaches is to prefer? cu Christoph -- Dipl.-Ing.
