Hello all,
I am making progress. I am using comedi-0.7.66 and a generic linux kernel
2.4.21. I have a NI PCI-1200 card. Originally, I thought that the ni_pcimio
driver was the one to use. However, the ID's didn't match up. It appears
that the correct driver to use is ni_labpc. When I do a modprobe on this I
get the following which I find very mysterious.
/sbin/modprobe ni_labpc >& log
/lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/drivers/pcmcia/ds.o: init_module: Operation not
permitted
/lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/drivers/pcmcia/ds.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/drivers/pcmcia/ds.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/drivers/pcmcia/ds.o: insmod ni_labpc failed
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including
invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
What really bothers me about this is the fact that a pcmcia driver is
called to support this. The board is a PCI - auto configure. Is there
something that I am missing?
Regards
Chris
