Opteron from bvds_at_localhost.localdomain on 2003-09-06 (gmane.linux.comedi)

Has anyone else tried to get comedi working on 
an AMD Opteron in 64-bit mode?
I am running gingin 64 with gcc 3.3 as the compiler.
I am using kernel version 2.4.22

when I compile, I get hundreds of errors of the form:

They all seem to be involved with adding something to dev->iobase

Any ideas, suggestions?
