Dear all, I use linux-2.4.17 with patch-2.4.17-rthal5g, comedi-0.7.66, comedilib-0.7.19, and rtai-24.1.11. When I tried the test program named "tests" in directory /rtai/comedi_lxrt/, the following error message occured in kernel space: Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc kernel: BUG: result of insn !=insn.n Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc: last message repeated 1689 times Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc kernel: BUG: result of insn !=insn.n Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc: last message repeated 122 times Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc kernel: BUG: result of in insn !=insn.n Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc kernel: BUG: result of insn !=insn.n Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc: last message repeated 122 times Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc kernel: BUG: result of in insn !=insn.n Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc kernel: BUG: result of insn !=insn.n Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc: last message repeated 370 times Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc kernel: BUG: result of in insn !=insn.n Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc kernel: BUG: result of insn !=insn.n Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc: last message repeated 246 times Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc kernel: BUG: result of in insn !=insn.n Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc kernel: BUG: result of insn !=insn.n Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc: last message repeated 246 times Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc kernel: BUG: result of in insn !=insn.n Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc kernel: BUG: result of insn !=insn.n Oct 2 16:16:41 ctrl6-pc: last message repeated 603 times and in user space following message occured: OVERALL INFO: version code: 0x000742 Board name: multiq3 Driver name: multiq3 Number of subdevices: 5 Subdevices: 0 Type:1 (analog input) Number of channels:8 Maxdata:8191 Number of ranges:1 Subdevice:1 Type:2 (analog output) Number of channels:8 Maxdata:4095 Number of ranges:1 Subdevice:2 Type:3 (digital input) Number of channels:16 Maxdata:1 Number of ranges:1 Subdevice:3 Type:4 (digital output) Number of channels:16 Maxdata:1 Number of ranges:1 Subdevice:4 Type:5 (counter) Number of channels:0 Maxdata:16777215 Number of ranges:1 synchronous test...ok what does that bug mean? Is there anything wrong with the driver? The modules I have loaded are: rtai.o, rtai_sched.o ,rtai_lxrt.o, rtai_shm.o comedi.o, kcomedilib.o, multiq3.o (driver of my data acquisition board) rtai_comedi_lxrt.o and another newbie question: what does the "comedi_test.o" in \comedi\comedi\drivers\ do? I know it suppose to output some signals, but after I inserted that module, nothing happened at all? Thank you very much, Xiaoyu Duan _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 helps eliminate e-mail viruses. Get 2 months FREE*. http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus
