I've compiled a new kernel (2.4.20), and comedi 0.7.66 and comedlib 0.7.21. The comedi driver loads fine but when I do comedi_configure /dev/comedi0 ni_pcimio, the system reboots after a few seconds. Here's the system log entry just before the reboot: Oct 7 14:52:42 rig10 kernel: comedi0: ni_pcimio: pci-6025e<7>PCI: Setting latency timer of device 00:02.0 to 64 Oct 7 14:52:42 rig10 kernel: MITE:0xfebfe000 mapped to f8a64000 DAQ:0xfebfd000 mapped to f8a66000 Oct 7 14:52:42 rig10 kernel: ( irq = 16 )Uhhuh. NMI received for unknown reason 35. Oct 7 14:52:42 rig10 kernel: Dazed and confused, but trying to continue Oct 7 14:52:42 rig10 kernel: Do you have a strange power saving mode enabled? Oct 7 14:52:42 rig10 kernel: Is this a problem with the driver somehow or is it a hardware setup problem? Any help appreciated. -- -Bernard Puc Senior Software Engineer 454 Life Sciences Corporation (203) 871-2335
