You can also use Scilab/Scicos which is free and has more or less the same functionalities as Mathlab/Simulink. I use this software to drive experiments. It works fine. You will find more information on the following web site : - Scilab Home Page : http://www.scilab.org To use COMEDI under Scilab you need to download COMEDI Data acquisition toolbox : - http://scilabsoft.inria.fr/contributions.html Dominique Claus Fuetterer wrote: > > Hello Brett, > > I wrote a little transient recorder using > Xgraphics from Martin Lueders (and comedi, of course). > The program can easily be modified to an oscilloscope > or whatever you desire. > > Xgraphics is a very simple, efficient and easy to understand > graphical library (gnu licence) based directly on X11 > (no overhead). > As a consequence I could compile programs using > very different Linux versions without problem. > > But: the description of the library is in german. > If you are interested I could send you a copy. > > xoscope didn't compile on my box (SuSE 8.1). > gnuplot is not made to be oscilloscope. > Eventually, the fltk library might be an alternative > but I haven't tried it so far, since it is > for C++ which I don't know very well ... > > Claus > > On Fri, 17 Oct 2003 bvds_at_bvds.geneva.edu wrote: > > > > > This question is almost off-topic... > > > > I am using comedi to read a PCI-DAS1000 card. > > Everything now works great! :-) > > > > I am planning on connecting a microphone plus preamp to the > > card and using this setup as a spectrum analyzer > > for use in a student physics lab (accoustic frequencies). > > The fourier transform stuff is not a problem, but I have > > no idea what to use for graphical output.
