ni_labpc config problems

Hi,
I am using Redhat 2.4.7-10 and comedi 0.7.66 and comedilib` 0.7.21 to talk 
to NI lab pc+ daq card( which is an ISA card).

I followed the Redhat_notes and was able to install comedi.

I removed pcmcia part of the code from ni_labpc.c since it uses ds.h and I 
was getting an error - driver socket not found. After removing all the 
pcmcia part of the code this error was fixed.

Now the modprobe works but when I type
/usr/sbin/comedi_config /dev/comedi0 ni_labpc 0x140,5,3

Configure failed !: Input/output error
Check kernel for more information
Possible reasons for failure:
   Driver not found

When I do lsmod, I see ni_labpc at the top of the list followed by all the 
modules it depends on.
I am attaching my /var/log/messages file with this mail.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
