I am beginning this week to program the ni6602 in earnest, and so I will be forming an opinion about the various counter APIs under discussion. I strongly support GPL driver efforts, and so I hope the comedi framework will prove suitable to my task. If it does, then I will be glad to contribute "Reciprocal Frequency Measurement" with DMA to comedi. Richard
