Marcus,
I think that NI tech support will probably be glad to help you. Since you
aren't using Comedi, the NI support website might be a better place to
start than the Comedi mailing list.

Anybody have some ideas on getting a National Instruments GPIB-ENET/100 to
work on a Linux box?
I am running Red Hat 8.0
I can ping the ENET/100 successfully.
I downloaded the file named <nienet-linux-1.2.tar.gz> from NI and unzipped
the <nienet> folder to the root directory.
first time I ran <instgpib>, it had a problem finding the <ugpib.h> file.
I forced a copy in the directory where it was looking... in some user
library folder somewhere.
now the program <instgpib> completes with no error.
the program <EthernetConfig> runs, but doesn't see the ENET/100.
no evidence of ethernet activity on the ENET/100 (no lights flicker).
the program <ibconfenet> was not able to find <libncurses.so.4>.
I found a file named <libncurses.so.5> in the /usr/lib folder, made a copy
of it, and renamed it libncurses.so.4
<ibconfenet> now runs with no error
Thanks for the help.
