comedi:How Do I use Comedi/ NI-PCI-MIO digital inputs to clock in data?

Hi,

I need to use the NI-PCI-MIO DAQ card to read data on the DIO ports based on
a clock pulse, up to 10Khz.  I have the clock pulse available on GATE1 or
SOURCE1.  I have used the comedi drivers succesfully for manually reading
both analog and digital data, and for continually generating an output
pulse.

I am at a loss how to repeatedly read digital data based on a continuing
incoming clock.
