It's been quite a while, but I remember posting two patches: one for
Comedi and one for Comedilib. The Comedilib patch adds some files to the
demo directory that let you read/write registers on any SCXI module, as
well as code for the SCXI DIO modules (which are very simple). Programming
the SCXI AI modules is more involved, but at least one person on this list
(Caleb Tennis) has managed to get it working.

Subject: SCXI Patch to comedi-0.7.63
Hello,
I have compiled and installed comedi-0.7.63 with the SCXI patch.
I haven't figured out how to use the SCXI serial interface yet. I think
the
comedi_do_insn()
is used to set the serial interface speed, and also to read/write
to/from the interface.
I don't know what to put in my comedi_insn to make it work.
Something like this for configuration???
insn.insn=INSN_CONFIG;
insn.n=1;
data[0]=1200;
insn.data=data;
insn[1].subdev=7;
insn[1].chanspec= ??? ;
Something like this for reading / writing?
insn.insn= ??? ;
insn.n=N;
insn.data=data;
insn[1].subdev=7;
insn[1].chanspec= ??? ;
Can someone who's used this patch lend some advice?
Am I even close?
./Loren
