Hello together,
I've been trying to install a daqboard2000 with comedi 0.7.63 allover on
a i586 under SuSe, Kernel 2.4.10. First it seemed that there was a
problem with the fpga initialisation. After adding a -i <filename> to
the comedi_config in modules.conf it now seemes that this is fixed:
alias char-major-98 comedi
alias char-major-98-1 daqboard2000
post-install daqboard2000 /usr/sbin/comedi_config -v -i
/usr/local/include/daqboard2000_fpga.h /dev/comedi1 daqboard2000
but at the moment I get the message:
configuring driver=daqboard2000

Configure failed!: Cannot allocate memory
Check kernel log for more information
Possible reasons for failure:

daqboard2000 failed
/lib/modules/2.4.10/comedi/comedi/drivers/daqboard2000.o: insmod
daqboard2000 failed
when calling modprobe daqboard2000 . The same is with comedi 0.7.67
(here the fpga data in daqboard2000_fpga.h is missing?). I guessed the
device might need to have allocated "highmem" at boot time and tried to
have a mem=60M ( 4M less then my full memory) executed then. But that
did'nt change a thing. I allso checked for any any unresolved
dependencies - they are okay though.
Does anyone have an idea what else to try? What is the memory allocation
sceme comedi uses? Which file hosts the code?
