Hello everybody, My name is Carlo Ferri and I am looking for information about the National Instruments PCI 5112 board. At the institution I work for, we are in the process of buying such a card. However, National Instruments do not provide any GNU/Linux driver and I have seen that the PCI 5112 is not supported by Comedi. That can be a serious problem for me because I reckon that in a near future I would probabily like/need to use it with RTAI and/or RT-Linux. The NI PCI 5112 card is going to be supported by comedi in a near future (months)? If not, what could I do? Do you please have any suggestion? I am a beginner in the data acquisition field and I have no idea of how I could develop a driver by myself, in the very worst case. About my Programming: I have some experience with MS VC++ for optimisation algorithms (about one year) and that's it. That is, I am not confident in my programming skill at all. In the worst case I have not other chance than to develop the driver by myself, Where could I start from ? Any suggestion ? Thank you for your time. Regards Carlo PS please could you reply to my email address, because I have not subscribed the mailing list.
