how to operate buffer on D/A board?

Hi,

I am writing a program to output different waveforms from different channels 
of a A/D D/A Board. everytime on computer I changed the the output waveform 
of one channel, the new waveform displayed on the oscilloscope after a time 
delay of several seconds. I have set the buffer in my program to be very 
small, but the time delay is still long. I think this may be due to the 
buffer on the board. Is there any command  to set the length of that buffer? 
I ever tried to use "Comedi cancel", the time delay disapeared, but its side 
effect is that the output wave form of other channels are deformed for one 
millisecond.
