Hello! I've a problem with my quad encoder: When I connect channel A to the SOURCE pin and channel B to the UP/DOWN pin (GATE -> +5V) of the counter device everything works fine for positive measurements, but in the other direction it counts twice as many signals!! That is: a full turn in one direction counts 500 ticks (ok), but in the other direction it's -1000 ticks!! When I connect the UP/DOWN pin to +5V and only channel A to the box, it counts 500 for both directions (ok). DIO6 is used for the UP/DOWN pin on the box. When I connect the channel B to DIO5 ot 7, I also count too many ticks. So it seems that there is a configuration error, as if the counter reads more than just the SOURCE pin! I use a NI 6036E DAQ card with a BNC-2110 connector box, no additional circuits between the encoder and the box. Any ideas? Thanks, Christian -- Dipl.-Ing.
