When streaming data with cmd, is there any way to check if the comedi buffer is getting close to full/half or not? Is there a way to set up a flag? From searching around in the mailing list archive and the documents, I understand that the TRIG_RT flag can be set but you have to have RTAI/RTLinux. I am reading out data at 1.25MS/s from my ni-pci-16-e-1 card fine with a non-real time kernel, and also doing some substantial processing to the data. I have my comedi read buffer set to 4096KB. I would basically like to prevent the broken pipe error from occuring. Should I be looking into realtime kernels? Is there a way to monitor the comedi buffer without it? Thanks, Naoko Kurahashi
