I've installed comedi and configured my card w/o error but it still doesn't seem to work

I installed comedi using the source code incuded in Debian 
v3.0 (woody) on an old Dell XPS_D300. I am using a DAS800 
card which configured quite easily. I have also install 
ktimetrace, as a package, and F. Hess's Kollector. I can pull 
up both ktimetrace and kollector without error, but when I go 
to aquire data-after setting the parameters- they just sit 
there as if they are collecting data but no points appear. I 
am 95% certain that it is the software.
