If this is the file I want, then I have two options: > 1) Read the source to determine the format of the bit-file > 2) Be a lazy bastard and hope someone here can answer me. :-) Actually I chose the third option, which was to assume, assumptions being the mother of all *ups. Still it seems like it did the trick. I just wrote the array raw to a file. dmesg reports: Sep 29 20:43:30 betty comedi0: daqboard2000: ids4daqboard2000_resetLocalBus Sep 29 20:43:30 betty daqboard2000_reloadPLX Sep 29 20:43:30 betty daqboard2000_pulseProgPin 1 Sep 29 20:43:30 betty daqboard2000_resetLocalBus Sep 29 20:43:30 betty daqboard2000_reloadPLX ...and /proc/comedi reports: bash-2.05b# more /proc/comedi comedi version 0.7.68.1 format string: "%2d: %-20s %-20s %4d",i,driver_name,board_name,n_subdevices 0: daqboard2000 ids4 3 daqboard2000: daqboard2000 8255: 8255 ...and there is neither smoke nor fire in the rack, so everything couldn't have gone wrong. So far, so good. We'll see if I can lure some data from the channels as well. -- Ronny
