Searching for an executable in one > of several possible locations is something autoconf does quite easily. I upgraded the Debian package to the latest upstream release (0.7.69) and attempted to build again under kernel 2.6.7. Now everything works fine again. Please note that I have had two different issues building this package under Debian, the first I think had to do with the Debian package as I reported in this bugreport: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=273945 The second issue was trying to compile manually using a checkout of the CVS version which is the issue I reported in this thread. Upgrading the Debian package to the 0.7.69 release solves *both* issues. I have debs available if anyone else would like to try them out. I'm not a Debian maintainer so I can't fix the Debian issues, but I think it would be a good idea to fix this issue in sarge before sarge becomes stable. -- Daniel Nilsson
