get status of output streaming

hi,

I am using comedi for streaming analog output. The end of the stream is 
usually determined by the number of output samples (stop_arg_src is TRIG_COUNT).

I would like to know, if the streaming output ist still
running, after I finished writing the samples to the buffer.

The functions "comedi_get_buffer_offset" and "comedi_get_buffer_contents" 
always return zero.

Is there a way to get the current status of a streaming output?
