Forget SuSE. You want something that is MUCH closer to Debian and still easy to set up. I have had very good results with ccux-linux (www.ccux-linux.de): installing comedy was a snap, and you can even keep updating the kernel via apt-get or the graphical tool synaptic without breaking your comedi. In addition, the people on their mailing list are EXTREMELY helpful and responsive to any suggestion I throw at them. Regards, Christian
