Just a lot of timeout errors.  Sometimes it would die completely and 
everything would time out, in which case I'd have to unload and reload the 
usb modules to get it going again.  The problems seemed to go away when I 
stopped using usb_bulk_msg(), although I did make some other changes 
simultaneously.
