My current plan is to throw out all the old drivers, and start with a couple 
specific one's I'm writing for our Coldfire based systems. Support for new 
hardware will then come in on a case by case basis until I get a feel for it 
and can approach it more academically.
I am currently looking for a thesis topic in embedded control systems, if 
embedded mmu-less DAQ and control is a relatively unexplored topic, then 
perhaps I can pursue this in research.
