It might be necessary to upgrade nevertheless. There are a couple of bug
fixes in rtai 3.1r2 related to shared memory IIRC. Upgrading will
hopefully be painless since 3.1r2 is a stability and bugfix release.

Do you use a seperate build directory for comedilib? If yes, that's the
reason. There is something wrong with doc/Makefile.
