Hi All: When tried to add rtai_smp.ko module from "comedi" dir (where the tar.gz file was saved and uncompressed), I got the following error: # /sbin/insmod /usr/realtime/modules/rtai_smp.ko insmod: error inserting '/usr/realtime/modules/rtai_smp.ko': -1 invalid module format. I know that the 2.4.x kernels have .o extension while 2.6 kernels have .ko extensions in modules. I looked into the "/usr/realtime/modules/" and found that the rtai_smp.ko module is there, but system is not detecting it. I do not know why? I tried to find some information from news group but could not get any useful information (or may be I am missing if it out there somewhere). Moreover, when I tried to do comedi_config, it issued an error message "driver not found". Is it required to attach DAQ card/device to the computer when doing this step? Please help me out, any help/suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Daxa Patel.
