Just checking, did you configure the comedi device. I had to remove the linux lp modules first to get this to work. To be honest, I gave up getting parallel port to work for input, I was doing everything per instructions and couldn't get responses on what certain constants I needed that were referenced, but did not exist in the manual. You might want to take a look at the NI USB-6501. It actually works for I/O costs only $95 and provides 24 I/O pins. Plus it's USB so it'll work on systems without parallel ports, such as many new laptops. I saw you message on comedi list where you say that > > can do output to parallel port without problem.
