I've just realized that the vanilla 2.6.11 should already have the 4-level page table stuff in it before the gentoo patches are added, so I don't know why gentoo's 2.6.11-r6 failed to work with Comedi. Still, gentoo-sources-2.6.11-r6 is no longer in the portage tree, so it would be more trouble than it's worth to get to the bottom of it, especially as the required files are no longer present on Gentoo's mirrors! -- -=( Ian Abbott _at_ MEV Ltd.
