Hi, I am a new (future) COMEDI user. Guess what: I get a series of error messages when I try to load the module! If someone could read below, I would appreciate very much. I try be as acurate as possible: system: linux slackware running on Pentium 3 kernel: 2.6.14 which I compile myself from source board: ni_atmio16d (ISA bus, NOT plug and play, base address 240, NO DMA} problem: when I type "depmod", "modprobe ni_atmio16d", "dmesg" then I get 16 error messages. they look like: comedi: Unknown symbol class_simple_device_add comedi: Unknown symbol class_simple_device_destroy comedi: Unknown symbol class_simple_device_remove comedi: Unknown symbol class_simple_create 8255: Unknown symbol comedi_buff_put 8255: Unknown symbol comedi_event 8255: Unknown symbol comedi_unipolar5 8255: Unknown symbol comedi_driver_unregister 8255: Unknown symbol comedi_driver_register ni_at_mio_16d: Unknown symbol comedi_buff_put ni_at_mio_16d: Unknown symbol comedi_range_unipolar10 ni_at_mio_16d: Unknown symbol comedi_subdev_8255_init ni_at_mio_16d: Unknown symbol comedi_subdev_8255_cleanup >From those messages, (perhaps from the first four) may be someone could tell my which module I did not compile and why? Thank you so much for reading! Alain Michaud
