Hi, I have been lurking on the Comedi mailing list for quite a long time. I find this project really interesting on many points (numerous drivers, facilities for writing drivers, etc.). As a contributor of the Xenomai project <www.xenomai.org>, I have started the porting of a Comedi codebase over RTDM, which is a unified real-time device driver model developped by Jan Kiszka <http://www.rts.uni-hannover.de/mitarbeiter/kiszka/rtaddon/> Xenomai relies on. My plan is to benefit from the Comedi features in the real-time environment offered by RTDM and Xenomai. The final goal is to deliver a full-featured and seamless solution for using Comedi drivers in the Xenomai environment. So far, the existing code is a proof of concept since I'm seeking feedback from both the Comedi and Xenomai/RTDM people on this initiative., it is located in the Xenomai subversion repository <http://svn.gna.org/svn/xenomai/branches/comedi-rtdm-dev>. You will find a document <doc/presentation.txt> which gives more details about this ongoing work. Feedback welcome. Best regards. Alexis.
