kernel function call from user space

Hi,

I want to know how my kernel level functions map to user space in
comedilib.

Assuming I have a function (mydriver_read_scan_buffer) in kernel space
in my driver. I have seen that this function needs to be linked to
comedi_subdevice structure in the attach function of the driver.

Please someone help as to how this function gets called in the user
library or through comedilib APIs.

Thanks,

Shalini
