Dear all I am dealing with the problem of obtaining data at 200 kHz, using a PCI DAS 1602/16 board, controlling the plant with a PID controller. In previous work with this card, the laboratory made use of the Real Time Windows Target and Simulink softwares to run the experiment. But the acquisition data sample rate was to slow (approx. 20 kHz) comparing with the 200 kHz that it is possible. I will appreciate very much your opinion on the following question: would it be possible to achieve this sampling speed by using the combination of RTAI/RTAI-LAB with Matlab/Simulink approach? Mr. Roberto Bucher's answer to this question was not, because the 'The latency of the RTAI system is about 5-15 us, thus with 200kHz sample rate you are at this value!'. He suggested to approach the problem using DMA, so I will like to know if there is information (documentation, examples) relating the use of the DMAC with the RTAI/RTAI-Lab software? My Regards Rufino Bolado-Gomez
