Data acquisition hardware recommendation from Edgar Berdahl on 2007-05-23 (gmane.linux.comedi)

Hello,

For a research project we would like to obtain control hardware  
satisfying the constraints:

  - about 30kHz servo rate
  - at least 3 channels of ADC, at least 1 channel of DAC
  - at least 12 bits of resolution
  - on the order of 1 or 2 samples of total control system latency

Could anyone recommend which PCI data acquisition card to get? (For  
example, maybe the Measurement Computing DAS6040 would work?)

Also, it seems that a lot of the comedi recommended hardware has a  
single ADC combined with a MUX. Is there some reason why this would  
make achieving low latency hard?
