[Fwd: Cannot make COMEDI recognize a USBDUX]

Hi,

   here at the EEA departement, University of Nice (France), we have
recently bought a USBDUX.

While trying to install it on a Ubuntu Feisty machine, I'm having some
problems:

* I've installed the packages for feisty that can be found here,
http://www.linux-usb-daq.co.uk/ubuntu/.

* After having installed them I rebooted and tried to load the "comedi"
module.

* The system responded that it couldn't find them.

* I did a "depmod -a".

* The system was now able to find the modules.

* I did a "modprobe comedi" and tried to connect the card, that didn't work.

*/

* I then did a "modprobe usbdux", nothing happened.

* The I unplugged and re-plugged the card.

* Still doesn't work: I, still, get the message above.

Where/What am I doing wrong?

Best Regards,

PS: I've tested 2 usb cables. With the other one it doesn't spawn any
error and says:
"[ 956.216000] usb 3-1: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and
address 4"
