Soundcard as analog input

Hi there, my name is brian, I'm an electrical engineering student.
I'm trying to use my soundcard as an analog input. I've done it in Windoze
but I have no idea how to do it in linux. Does anyone can help ?
I use NI LabView demos version in windoze.
