data[] for digital I/O

hi people

I am writing a new driver for a data aquisition card that I own (I think 
it is only sold in Argentina

the ADC working. But when dealing with digital I/O, I don't get how 
comedilib passes the information to do_insn() on what bit to write (or 
read) and if it is a 1 or a 0. I get that it is somehow encoded in the 
data[] array, but don't get how.

any help would be really appreciated

and, btw, would the official developers like this driver to be added to 
comedi? If this is the case, what are the official steps in order for a 
new driver to be accepted?
