If the board has jumpers, it is highly doubtful that you can set
the gain in software.

The proper way to tell a driver the jumper settings is to use
the additional devconfig options, which are set by the user on
the comedi_config caommand line.  Since these are driver-specific,
they need to be documented.  See dt282x.c for an example.
