Ah! I see.. then I should investigate this and update the driver
accordingly.  That way, at least, the driver will inform the application
of the right range settings depending on how the board is physically
jumpered (assuming the devconfig options were correct).  I wanted to avoid
doing this since really I *thought* it might be a drag for users to have
to set devconfig options.. but maybe I can just have reasonable
defaults for people that want no-hassles...
