Yeah I second this notion. It is just about impossible for comedi not to compile and install on any real Linux distro. I could imagine some specialty distro that uses unorthodox C libraries or something for custom purposes might be tricky to get to work with comedi, but any of the larger mainstream distros will certainly work. Some of the distros, such as Debian, even offer comedi packages (so you don't even have to compile a thing if you don't want to). In the end if you get the source off the comedi.org site you will 99.999% of the time be able to install it on any recent distro! The distro is unimporant, basically.... comedi is comedi and linux is linux and the two work together well. :) -Calin On Tue, 1 Jul 2003, Chuck Haines wrote: > i've installed comedi currently on a slack9 machine, however gentoo is a > very similar machine adn I would see no reason why it wouldn't work. > > Chuck > > On Tue, 1 Jul 2003, Tim Holt wrote: > > > I'm assuming in these recommendations you all mean you had no problem > > installing and using Comedi, correct? > > Chuck Haines wrote: > > > > >Gentoo > > > > > >http://www.gentoo.org > > > > > >On Tue, 1 Jul 2003, Tim Holt wrote: > > > > > > > > > > > >>I'm about to wipe the old Win98 OS on a notebook and install Linux for > > >>use with Comedi.
